Assemblix LLC is now hiring for Sit Down Forklift Operators in the Plainfield, IN area. This is s temp-to-hire position. Pay is $17.00 an hour and will be paid out weekly. We offer the following benefits: Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, Short Term, Life insurance, and 401K after 90 days.
Interested candidates must have a valid Forklift Operator Certifiction on hand at the moment of application.
Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will work with other key members of Operations to move materials around the facility.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

- Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, or lifting devices.
- Identify objects, Actions, and Events that could hazardous in the warehouse.
- Transport materials between loading, processing, or storage area.
- Operate devices, like lift beams, swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms to load, unload, transport, or stack material
- Guide bales in and out from inside Baler
- Help prepare processed bales for shipment
- Maintain and pass operator certification test bi-annually
- Helps crew properly perform preventative maintenance on the Forklift.
- Examine Forklift parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Maintain awareness of pedestrians and other vehicles and signal directions or warnings by using horn.
- Help clean, lubricate, and adjust parts on Forklift.
- As needed, teams-up with a partner to lift anything over 50lbs.
- Keeps area clean by sweeping 10 minutes before a break and before end of the shift.
- Ensures all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and properly dresses for job duties.
- Notify EH&S of any safety concerns and violations, PPE defects or need for replacement of safety equipment.
- Works to achieve least amount of costs by properly maintaining assigned supplies, tools, or PPE.
- Work assigned schedule based on demands set forth by management.
- Works to ensure fixed assets are preserved within assigned area.
- Understands policy and program changes that are communicated.
- Informs management on issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, etc. within assigned areas
- Participates in ongoing training and re-training of ERI procedures, policies, and plans.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relations with personnel.
- Help Loss Prevention maintains security measures throughout the assigned areas related to sensitive information and theft.
- Completes assigned compliance-based checklist and reports issues to adhere to all certification standards and regulations
- Help ensure housekeeping around area to maintain safety and cleanliness
- Report any ideas for efficiency and continuous improvement to facility leadership.
