What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at Assembly Majority, NYS?
The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description • Schedule the Assembly Member's and staff calendar both in the District and Albany offices, including invitations, meetings, appointments, events and travel.• Confirm invitations, meetings and appointments with Constituents, Organizations, State Departments and Agencies and Other Interested Parties.• Coordinate with the Assembly Member and staff to prepare for meetings and events and ensure Assembly Member is staffed and that all meetings/events have been assigned staff to attend and meeting notes are provided.• Compile and attach materials for meetings to the schedule to be used in discussion at meetings.• Manage the front desk, including managing the mail and emails, answering phones, greeting visitors – Hospitality Liaison.• Order office supplies, request repairs and assist in general support functions.• Staff the Assembly Member, cover meetings and events when necessary.• Assist in in-taking and solving constituent cases in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications • Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience/education.• Excellent organizational and time management skills.• Ability to work flexible hours, when required.• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.• Experience with computers.• Commitment to learn new material quickly and develop skills.• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.• Able to work both independently and as a team member – team player. Highly professional, courteous, helpful and friendly.
