What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Creative Director position at Assembly Media, Inc?
Assembly is an integrated agency providing purpose-built communications to Microsoft – bringing strategy, creative, research, social and digital, and influencer marketing together to drive tangible business results and advance Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more.
Assembly Media Inc., a subsidiary of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, Inc. is looking for a Vice President (VP) Creative Director, to help lead and direct the Assembly team. This Creative Director (writer or art director) will help us make stuff the world wants to talk about. Funny stuff. Gripping stuff. Important stuff. The kind of stuff you’ll be proud to put in your book and share on LinkedIn for sure–but also stuff that’ll have you telling your friends and parents “we did that.” You’ll help build a team of creatives and lead idea development from conception to completion, while always raising the bar on creative expression.
The ideal candidate is a business-minded steward of the client relationship and is entrusted and empowered to ensure both the clients’ and the agency’s business objectives are met. In this role, you will effectively identify and anticipate business problems and help clients solve them through applying deep industry and tactical knowledge. You will effectively manage across teams and help leverage the full suite of Assembly resources while creating a climate that encourages excellence, courage, and integrity.
We’ve generated some of the industry’s most talked about work, from the universally sought-after Cheez-Its and Wine combo boxes to Rice Krispies Treats’ Braille Love Notes. We’ve helped Raisin-Bran eaters achieve a coveted ‘Bran Bod’ physique and have recently ushered the ice cream truck jingle into the 21st century.
What We Expect
We want passion. We want excitement. It’s brainstorm day so we need your energy and vision. But also, your ideas. Especially your ideas. You’ll bounce them off your co-workers, laughing with planners, designers, art directors, strategists to create amazing and enduring work. You are a creator who can run at different speeds and lead projects that require you to stay on top of each twist and turn.
Responsibilities:
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
Edelman offers a wide range of benefits: medical and dental insurance, vision, 401K, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, travel assistance and wellness programing.
Assembly is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome and encourage racially and ethnically diverse people, members of the LGBTQ community, veterans, parents, individuals with disabilities and members of any and all protected classes to apply.
