Assertive Professionals is seeking a Decision Scientist, Test Support supporting our National Security Customer at Quantico, VA.
This a a proposed position that should be awarded by 1 February. We will be offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus or reimbursable relocation, $1,200 compliance bonus, and competitive salary.

Responsibilities Include:
The Decision Scientist provides expert testing and evaluation (T&E) support to validate the technical capabilities, operational feasibility, and overall performance of systems and processes. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive test plans, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering actionable insights to mitigate risks and improve decision-making. Decision Scientists ensure systems meet operational requirements in complex environments, contributing directly to mission success.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI
- Senior: Masters Degree; 5 years of specialized experience
- Mid: Bachelors Degree; 3 years of specialized experience
- Ability to summarize complex information for executive-level consumption and break down details for requirements owners' understanding and use.
- Proficient in developing, maintaining, and facilitating the utilization of artifacts that document government requirements and understanding.
- Able to provide Test and Evaluation (T&E) support to IS Product Owners, including conducting comprehensive reviews, analysis, evaluations, and tests of project technical capabilities (e.g., system behaviors, processes, interfaces, operational use, feasibility) across operational environments such as NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS to confirm requirements implementation.
- Able to facilitate early detection and correction of cost and schedule variances.
- Able to enhance management insight into process and product risk through effective T&E practices.
- Able to support project cycle processes to ensure compliance with regulatory, performance, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Able to validate project products and processes to ensure compliance with defined requirements.
- Able to coordinate with Government verification and validation points of contact through iterative User
- Acceptance Testing (UAT) as a feedback mechanism.
- Able to develop Comprehensive Test (CT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans.
- Able to assist with coordination and scheduling of CT/UAT events.
- Able to document and consolidate test results for evaluation and reporting.
- Able to review test event artifacts to ensure accuracy in pre- and post-release announcements.
- Able to conduct testing within operational environments (as close as possible), ensuring inclusion of hardware, software, interfacing applications and systems, documentation, operators, and user experience to align with DoD requirements and industry best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
