Intervenes in crisis situations and negotiates resolutions between conflicted parties. Uses mediation and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts, as well as creativity and problem-solving techniques. Draws attention to larger institutional concerns that need to be addressed through system changes or education / personal interventions. A bachelor''s degree in business, social work or another health care-related field is required; a master''s degree in business or social work is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in a customer-service related position is required, as is strong communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in the use of computers and various applicable software is essential.
