Housekeeper

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the common areas in our apartment complex. This role is responsible for ensuring that all shared spaces, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, laundry rooms, and outdoor areas, are kept clean, tidy, and presentable for residents and visitors. You will also be responsible for cleaning vacant apartments.

Responsibilities

• General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum common areas such as hallways, stairwells, elevators, and entrances.
• Trash Removal: Empty trash and recycling bins in all common areas and outdoor spaces; ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
• Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize public restrooms, restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.), and ensure proper cleanliness standards are maintained
• Outdoor Area Maintenance: Sweep and tidy outdoor walkways, parking lots, and courtyards; remove trash or litter from external areas of the property, watering potted plants in common areas.
• Window and Surface Cleaning: Clean glass doors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces to maintain a clean and inviting environment.
• Supplies Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies in common areas, ensuring inventory is kept up to date and ordering new stock as necessary.
• Report Maintenance Issues: Notify the maintenance team of any issues with building facilities (e.g., lighting, plumbing, etc.) or any damage to the common areas.

Experience

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred, particularly in commercial or multi-unit residential environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order in all common areas.
• Good physical stamina, with the ability to lift light to moderate objects and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of safe handling and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
