Property Manager

Asset Real Estate Management, is seeking a dedicated Property Manager to oversee the daily operations for its portfolio of apartments, commercial, and condominium properties through Central Maine. The ideal candidate will possess confident leadership, an understanding of property management and construction, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication and negotiation skills to maintain positive relationships with tenants, landlords, contractors, and condominium owners, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

We will train you to our systems and offer you continuous guidance so that you can reach the level of proficiency that this position requires. The following is a partial job description:

• Manage the leasing process, including marketing properties, conducting showings, and negotiating lease agreements.

• Maintain strong customer relationships by addressing tenant and owner inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally while resolving tenant disputes amicably.

• Ensure compliance with local and state codes, Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines to promote equitable housing practices.

• Oversee property maintenance and facilities management, coordinating repairs, monitoring expenses, managing budgets, anticipating future property repair needs, and inspections to uphold property standards.

• Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Stay informed about local laws related to property management, including contract law and landlord-tenant regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience in property management, construction, or a related field is important.

• Strong organizational skills and computer knowledge with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
