What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Services Representative position at Asset Staffing?
Financial firm in lower Manhattan seeks consultants for contract role-totally onsite, Monday-Friday.
The Client Services Associate supports the submission, follow up, and receipt of both US
and Non-US Certificates of Residency. You will be responsible for communicating
with clients to facilitate their enrollment and activation of necessary documents needed for
payable filing as well as handling income data requests and providing
support to other departments in addressing client needs and challenges.
You will work with the Client Services department along with the Reclaims Services and
under the supervision of the Team Manager and the Vice President of
Client Services. There will be internal training for the role:
ROLE:
Process Certificates of Residency by organizing, scanning, and filing the documents
away in the dedicated storage area
Pull Certificates of Residency from storage when the operations departments need them
to file on reclaims
Assist with requesting and processing Canadian Exemption Letters
Monitor changes in Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rules and regulations
Work closely with the Internal Revenue Services and Foreign Tax Authorities to solve
issues regarding internal statuses, renewals and other requests
Create account opening documents for beneficial owners and financial Intermediaries
Onboard and maintain client accounts as well as financial intermediaries
Validate client information and documents
Scan and save documents, certifications, and claim forms
Renew documents, investor listings and certifications
Enter, track, update, and process client information onto multiple internal company portals
Perform a variety of data-driven tasks, data scrubbing, data reconciliation, tax form-
related compilations, and general office tasks
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Excel and how to use formulas
Understanding of IRS and Foreign Tax Authority regulations A PLUS
4 year degree
TAX/ACCOUNTING MAJORS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AS WELL AS ANYONE WHO HAS WORKED IN A BANK DOING CUSTOMER SERVICE OR TELLER FUNCTIONS
