The primary hours for this position are Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00am-6:00pm.

What You'll Do:
Client Champion: Be the primary contact for individuals receiving minimal employment support, offering direct and indirect skill training and on-site quality control.
Vocational Rehab Coordinator: Serve as the main point of contact for the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation with the State of Alaska.
Employment Services Pro: Conduct intakes, build relationships, analyze jobs, assist with job searches and placements, develop job opportunities, provide initial skill training, and create treatment plans.
Networking Guru: Develop and maintain a list of prospective employers suitable for both group and individual placements.
Community Consultant: Confidently engage in sales/networking, make presentations to prospective employers, and serve as a valuable resource.
Transportation Facilitator: Assist clients with mobility training and coordinate transportation services.
Documentation Whiz: Keep accurate and organized records, including intake processes, job development, assessments, job proposals, case notes, and grant reporting.
Team Collaborator: Effectively communicate with team members and participate in meetings, providing backup support as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a human service or related field, with at least two years of experience in employment-related services for people with disabilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, problem-solving, and advocacy skills. Sales or marketing experience is a plus!
Certifications: Valid Alaska driver’s license and a National Certificate in Employment Services (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment).

Full Job Description
In accordance with Assets, Inc. core values and mission, this position is responsible for developing jobs and networking with employers in the community that are suitable to the needs and desires of individuals receiving employment services from Assets, Inc. Develops and maintains professional relationships with employers, served individuals, parents and / or guardians and team members. Actively participates in team development and service evaluation. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to the Assets, Inc. mission and be an effective advocate for people with mental illness and / or developmental disabilities. This position may require de-escalating verbally or physically aggressive individuals according to identified procedures and individual client protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adheres to and demonstrates Assets, Inc. core values, mission, and compliance plan in the performance of all aspects of this position.
- Serves as primary contact for individuals receiving minimal employment support. Provides direct and indirect skill training, retention and on-site quality control.
- Services as the primary contact and coordinator for the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation with the State of Alaska
- Provides initial Employment Services to include:
- Intake
- Relationship building
- Job analysis / Job Proposal
- Job search / Placement assistance
- Job Development
- Initial skill training
- DVR services
- Treatment Plan Development
- Develops and maintains a list of prospective employers appropriate for clients in both group and individual placements.
- Comfortable with sales / networking (i.e., building relationships) and making in person presentations with prospective employers. Conducts face-to-face appointments / meetings with employers. Answers employer questions and / or concerns in a positive manner. Serves as a consultant and resource to employers in the community.
- Actively advocates for employee's employment needs and interests.
- Maintains effective interactions with the Contracts Management Team and Clinicians.
- Provides individuals receiving employment services with transportation assistance to include mobility training and coordination or scheduling of transportation services.
- Maintains accurate and organized records and documentation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Intake Process / Database
- Job Development
- Assessment information
- Job proposals
- Case notes / Service Notes
- Grant reporting
- Effectively communicates with all team members and participates in regularly scheduled team meetings and support team meetings.
- Provides back-up support for team members, including providing direct supports as needed.
- Attends company required trainings and participates in on-going professional development.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a human service or related field; minimum of two years experience providing employment related services to people with disabilities; OR equivalent combination of education and experience (experience may replace formal education on a year for year basis).
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Alaska driver’s license, and an insured vehicle. Must have a National Certificate in Employment Services or obtain one within 6 months of employment. Must provide copy of driving record, proof of insurance and proof of educational credentials (if applicable) at time of hire.

- Previous sales or marketing experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the administrative office is low, but noise level in some businesses the employee may be asked to work in could be moderate to high, contingent upon the specific business. May be exposed to physical and verbal altercations with individuals served.
