Full Job Description
In accordance with Assets, Inc. core values and mission, this position is responsible for developing jobs and networking with employers in the community that are suitable to the needs and desires of individuals receiving employment services from Assets, Inc. Develops and maintains professional relationships with employers, served individuals, parents and / or guardians and team members. Actively participates in team development and service evaluation. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to the Assets, Inc. mission and be an effective advocate for people with mental illness and / or developmental disabilities. This position may require de-escalating verbally or physically aggressive individuals according to identified procedures and individual client protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required. Education and / or Experience : Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in a human service or related field; minimum of two years experience providing employment related services to people with disabilities; OR equivalent combination of education and experience (experience may replace formal education on a year for year basis).
Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Valid Alaska driver's license, and an insured vehicle. Must have a National Certificate in Employment Services or obtain one within 6 months of employment. Must provide copy of driving record, proof of insurance and proof of educational credentials (if applicable) at time of hire.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the administrative office is low, but noise level in some businesses the employee may be asked to work in could be moderate to high, contingent upon the specific business. May be exposed to physical and verbal altercations with individuals served.
