Our client, a leading organization in the financial sector, is seeking a Data Modeler to join their team.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data models
• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Create and maintain data dictionaries, schemas, and tables
• Ensure data quality and integrity through data modeling techniques
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement and optimize data models
• Evaluate and improve existing data models to enhance performance and efficiency
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5 years of experience as a Data Modeler
• Strong understanding of data modeling methodologies (e.g., ER diagrams, dimensional modeling)
• Understanding of data integration including ETL processes
• Proficiency in data modeling tools e.g. Erwin, PowerDesigner
• Excellent SQL skills, including data definition language (DDL) and data manipulation language (DML)
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies
• Expertise in building dashboards and visualizations with Microsoft Power BI
• Working knowledge of data governance and data security issues
