Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure their safety.
- Provide individualized attention to each child, recognizing their unique needs and abilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day and any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall daycare experience.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education, including first aid and special education techniques.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare or as a nanny is preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong understanding of child development principles, particularly in infant care and preschool settings.
- Ability to educate children through creative play, structured activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is essential; certification is a plus.
- Experience working with students who have special educational needs is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
