Position Summary:
The Executive Director is the senior leader of the assisted living community, responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, ensuring high standards of resident care, team performance, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship. This role provides visionary leadership, cultivates a positive community culture, and ensures an exceptional living experience for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Provide strategic and operational leadership across all departments (care services, dining, housekeeping, maintenance, activities, etc.)
Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate department managers and staff.
Foster a culture of accountability, compassion, and excellence in service.
Resident & Family Relations:
Ensure the highest quality of care and service is consistently delivered to residents.
Serve as a point of contact for residents and families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
Promote a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure community operations are in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain proper documentation, inspections, and policies to meet licensing and safety standards.
Manage emergency preparedness, infection control, and quality assurance programs.
Financial & Business Operations:
Develop and manage annual budgets and operational plans.
Monitor financial performance, occupancy, staffing, and expenses to achieve business goals.
Oversee billing, contracts, and vendor relationships.
Marketing & Community Engagement:
Represent the community in public, professional, and referral settings.
Lead tours, promote occupancy growth, and participate in marketing initiatives.
Build relationships with healthcare providers, referral partners, and the broader community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Gerontology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a senior living, long-term care, or healthcare leadership role.
Valid Assisted Living Administrator license or ability to obtain if required by state.
Proven leadership skills with a track record of operational success.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

Working Conditions:
Full-time, on-site leadership role.
