Resident Assistant

Job Summary
The Resident Assistant plays a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals residing in our Assisted Living Community. This position is focused on enhancing the quality of life for residents by offering direct support in daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be compassionate towards our residents and families.

Duties

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support residents in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident living areas.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations within the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with Dementia is preferred.
• Background in direct support roles is advantageous.
• Familiarity with home community care practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic health care procedures is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to assist others in need.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the facility's needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
