United Methodist Homes, a nonprofit senior living organization serving its -140-year mission to provide relationship-centered care, is currently seeking a C.N.A. to work on our Wesley Village campus located in Shelton, CT in our Skilled Nursing and Rehab Community: Bishop Wicke Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Shifts Available: Full Time and Part Time
Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) will provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. This includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, as well as monitoring and reporting changes in patient health status. The C.N.A. will also assist with maintaining a clean and safe patient environment.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting residents with daily and periodic personal care needs.
- Providing nutrition and caring for needs of residents.
- Obtaining temperatures, pulses, respiration, blood pressures, heights, weights, and other unit specific routines.
- Contributing to effective communication with residents and other staff members.
- Other related tasks, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Current Connecticut C.N.A. license, in good standing.
- Genuine love and respect for seniors.
- Ability to work every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Willingness to undergo a complete background check, including physical and drug screen.
