· On Call Direct Care Providers (DCP) are available and willing to pick up and cover any shifts that are asked to be covered during your On Call Days.
· You will be able to be reached and available at all times during On Call Days.
· This position requires that you are willing and available to cover any shifts during the On Call days at any house that is asked of you.
· Position requires that you are able to go in promptly when called to cover a shift on short notice or in an emergency.
· As the On Call DCP you agree to work these shifts for the wage offered and agree upon for On Call hours.
· As an On Call DCP you will be required to have a vehicle during day shifts to be able to provide transportation for the participants.
· This position will require you to be available to work occasional holidays.
· Requests for days off during your On Call days will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Direct Care Provider Job description

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs and IADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, managing medications, transportation, shopping and meal preparation, cleaning, and etc. as needed
- Promote and uphold client rights and ensure a safe and supportive environment
- Drive individuals to appointments, outings, and community activities
- Help prepare meals as needed
- Help Participant maintain a clean and organized living environment to ensure a happy healthy home.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Complete all required paperwork before end of shift.
Skills:
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of ADL's and IADL's
- Familiarity with client rights and ability to advocate for individuals' needs
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely transport individuals as required
- Attention to detail in maintaining a clean and organized living environment
- Direct support experience in a similar role is highly desirable
- Strong behavior management skills to address challenging behaviors and able to deescalate or redirect in appropriate manner
-Able to prompt participants to work towards daily goals and document accordingly
- Able to remain calm, patient, and kind.
