About Us:
Assisting Hands of Arlington Heights serves older adults in their homes throughout the north and northwest suburbs. Our caregiving team works out in the field and the office staff support from the Arlington Heights office. We are looking for the next full time role to join our passionate, hardworking office team!
Human Resources in home care is not your typical HR position. This is a dynamic role, where you have the power to make a difference in the lives of older adults! When our team is strong, our services excel, and in turn, seniors receive top-notch care. This person must truly have a love for people and have a good understanding of both supporting the team and enforcing policies and procedures when necessary.
The role involves three parts:
1. Participating in the recruiting and onboarding of new caregivers
2. Supporting the caregiving team through retention efforts such as check-in calls, hosting events, and additional training.
3. Enforcing policies through disciplinary action as necessary.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm in office (must have some flexibility).
Rotating on-call (extra stipend provided).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly new-hire orientation
- Maintain Caregiver Files
- Support staff to understand and utilize benefits
- Call applicants and schedule in-person interviews
- Support scheduler to ensure we have qualified staff
- Willingness to fill in to care for a senior if needed
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a CNA or caregiver preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Above average computer skills and willingness to learn a new program
- Organized
- Ability to work under pressure
- At least 1 year experience mentoring, coaching, etc.
- Must be a team player and understand the importance of working in a team environment
- Compassionate toward others, passionate about caring for seniors, and goal oriented to achieve results leading to high-quality care.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
