Position Summary:
As an In-Home Caregiver at Assisting Hands Home Care, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care and support to our clients as they go about their daily activities. This role is vital in helping our clients maintain their quality of life and enjoy the comfort of staying in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
- Engage clients in social activities to foster mental well-being and companionship.
- Monitor client health and promptly report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Respect client privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Document care provided and report any notable observations during each visit.
Requirements:
- At least one year of caregiving experience.
- Must have either a High School Diploma or GED
- Availability to work 12 to 40 hours per week on a consistent basis.
- Own a reliable vehicle and carry auto insurance.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- CPR Certification.
- Ability to travel between shifts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient approach to care.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
