Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed medication schedules
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions if applicable
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure client privacy and confidentiality
- Provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
- Offer support for individuals receiving hospice care
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with medication administration systems is a plus
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial
- Experience working with children or in assisted living facilities is an asset
