What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dependable and Compassionate Caregiver position at Assisting Hands of Lyndhurst?
Are you a compassionate and dependable caregiver ready to make a real difference in someone's life? We're hiring! We need someone with the physical strength and ability to safely assist our clients, ensuring their well-being and dignity at all times. You must hold an active Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in New Jersey and be vaccinated for COVID-19.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide companionship to client.
- Provide personal care, Incontinence care, assistance with activities of daily living.
- Provide support for mobility, transfers, and positioning to client.
- Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation.
- Assist client with medication reminders.
- Encourage and support client to maintain as much independence as possible.
- Adhere to care plans crafted by the RN.
- Maintain care-notes for accurate and timely records of care.
- Adhere to infection control and safety policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Must have active Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in New Jersey.
- At least a year of proven experience in delivering personal care.
- Reliable transportation.
- Updated physical examination and PPD (tuberculosis) test within past 12 months.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
