Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, and companionship to clients in their homes
- Encourage and support clients to maintain as much independence as possible with their care
- Follow care plans developed by our Registered Nurses and assist with maintaining a safe and comfortable environment
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Support clients with medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments or errands
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Follow infection control and safety policies and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in the state of New Jersey
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to providing high-quality care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes
Additional Requirements:
- Physical examination and PPD (tuberculosis) test within the past 12 months
- MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccination
- Valid Social Security Number (SSN) and/or valid Immigration Documents (if applicable)
