Responsibilities

Personal Care:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain personal hygiene and dignity.

Medication Management:
- Provide reminders with medication

Mobility Support:
- Help with mobility and transferring; Client uses a Hoyer Lift

Companionship and Emotional Support:
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to provide emotional support and companionship, acknowledging and respecting the veteran’s rich life history.

Nutritional Support:
- Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary needs, considering any specific nutritional requirements.

Housekeeping:
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment through light housekeeping tasks like dusting, laundry, and sweeping.
Skills and Qualifications

Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in caregiving, preferably with elderly individuals.

Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with the veteran and their family.

Patience and Compassion:
- A kind and patient demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others and providing high-quality care.
