Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver with hands-on experience caring for cancer patients. The ideal candidate will understand the unique physical, emotional, and psychological needs of individuals undergoing cancer treatment or of hospice care. This role requires patience, kindness, and a gentle touch as you support clients through their daily routines, promote their well-being, and provide a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care Assistance: Support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming while ensuring the client’s comfort and dignity.
- Emotional Support & Companionship: Provide a calm, empathetic presence and emotional support to clients and their families.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare light, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of cancer patients.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe, tidy living space.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Observe and document changes in the client's condition, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
- Adhere to Care Plans: Follow a customized care plan designed to meet the client's individual needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with cancer patients.
- Skills: Ability to provide gentle, compassionate care while maintaining patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, if needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with mobility support and perform light housekeeping tasks.
