Job Overview :
We are seeking a bilingual caregiver who can provide personalized in-home support to a Spanish-speaking female client with dementia. This role involves creating a safe, supportive, and understanding environment while addressing her unique physical and emotional needs.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Cueing and Personal Care : Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility through gentle reminders and cues, ensuring the client's dignity is upheld.
- Companionship and Communication : Build trust and foster emotional well-being through kind, patient interaction. Fluency in Spanish is preferred for clear and comforting communication.
- Meal Preparation : Prepare light, nutritious meals tailored to her preferences and dietary needs, ensuring they are easy to manage and enjoy.
- Household Assistance : Provide light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe and organized environment.
- Engagement : Encourage participation in simple activities and routines to promote cognitive stimulation and emotional connection.
- Monitoring and Reporting : Observe any changes in her behavior, health, or mood and communicate concerns to the care team or supervisor.
- Adherence to Care Plan : Follow a detailed care plan designed to meet the client's specific needs.
