What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at Associa?
Associa is currently looking for a Janitor to join our team in San Diego, CA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean restrooms, showers & saunas in pool areas
- Make sure the pool area is free of trash & debris / wipe pool furniture
- Fill up the water in the jacuzzi on the weekends, and make sure it is turned on and the temperature is at least 101.
- Walk buildings:
All exterior sidewalks for trash & debris, outside parking lot, underground lot, & tennis courts.
Each building: Clean both elevators & tracks from 4th – 1st floor. Sweep and mop laundry rooms and trash chute rooms.
Spot vacuum hallways and mail rooms as needed.
Clean all entrance glass doors, clean and dust mail room areas, and high/low dusting as you move through the hallways of each building.
Clean garage elevator lobby. Sweep/mop or vacuum the stairwells.
- Clean manager and guard office, including the restroom.
- Clean community center restrooms, kitchen, walls. Set up/tear down tables.
Empty all exterior trash cans & doggy stations.
Sweep courtyard areas & clear drains.
- Weekly, sweep & mop all four racquetball courts.

Compensation: $17.50 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 7 am - 4 pm
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
- Professional customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
- Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
