Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, and minor roofing repairs to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained. This is a part-time role with specific days and hours.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs to ensure the building is properly maintained.
- Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems equipment as needed.
- Maintain company-issued vehicle (routine PMs, oil changes, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 35 years of experience in light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, paint, plaster, and similar fields.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.
- Ability to interpret and complete verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
- Time management and time-critical prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
- May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level, hammer, etc.).
