Responsible for the performance of assigned financial, operational and compliance audit projects within the Wealth Management and Human Resources areas. Required to independently execute and document audits as well as act as a resource for auditors to ensure audit execution is in accordance with department standards as outlined in the Corporate Audit Services Manual and other professional standards. This includes evaluating, testing and assessing the adequacy, design and operating effectiveness of the control environment. Duties also include progressive responsibility for audit planning by assisting in documenting the risks, controls, processes, and systems. Through detailed test work and planning, identify matters that contribute to internal control risks e.g. compliance, operational, financial, etc.; and works with audit management and the business line to remediate those risks. Required to maintain positive client relationships with business line colleagues throughout the process.Job Accountabilities
• Audit Performance
Independently perform audit activities including inquiry, testing and observation towards completion of audit projects. Through inquiry and testing, analyze and discuss with audit management and the business line the effectiveness of internal control practices. Work in collaboration with the Senior Auditor / Audit Manager in the preparation of written communications with the business lines including Points for Discussion (proper identification of root cause and exposure), development of recommendations, and drafting audit reports and other correspondence. Assist the Senior Auditor / Audit Manager in the planning of audit projects through the effective assessment of inherent and residual risks, and through the analysis of financial performance, significant initiatives, fraud and operational losses and issues within the designated audit projects. Responsible for staying abreast of laws, emerging risks, rules and regulations impacting assigned audit projects and partnering with Risk Management to ensure the business risks are properly identified and mitigated within the business lines, and ensuring that the changes are incorporated into the independent assessment process performed by Corporate Audit Services. Exercise solid judgment to conclude on test work performed. Adhere to audit standards and
Human Resources Policies.
• Supervision and Coaching
Coach and mentor staff in the documentation and analysis of key business controls, risk identification and mitigation.
• Collaboration/Partnerships
Establish and maintain contact with officers and staff as needed within the assigned business lines regarding audit activities. Foster high performance culture and maintain a positive filter on all interactions within the department, consultants and auditees. Contribute to a high performance culture and maintain a positive attitude on all interactions with department colleagues, consultants and auditees. Develop and maintain positive working relationships throughout the organization.
• Centralized Issue Tracking
Perform issue validation work to ensure appropriate testing supports closure of issues.

Assist Audit Management in gathering requested materials for examinations of Corporate Audit Services.
• Professional Development
Maintain professional / technical knowledge and enhances personal growth by attending educational workshops in audit methodology and banking processes as well as reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies. Research laws, rules and regulations impacting designated audit projects to ensure the risk of noncompliance is considered as part of the test script the business risks are properly identified and mitigated within the business lines, and ensure that the changes are incorporated into the independent assessment process performed by Corporate Audit Services. Build a strong understanding of the various areas under review and develop a comprehensive understanding of the audit process.

Experience
1-3 years Progressive Audit Required
Licenses and Certifications
AP-Advanced Professional Certification within 2 years Required
Other CPA / CIA within 2 years Preferred
