and Work Responsibilities:
- Respond to new intake contacts, contact new patients by phone, email or text. Verify insurance and eligibility benefits, and obtain insurance authorization.
- Obtain new patient paperwork and insurance cards prior to the initial appointment with provider,
- Obtain and coordinate EAP- Employee Assistance, medical assistance and gated HMO insurance authorizations
- Manages the new intake spreadsheets for multiple state businesses and schedules initial appointments with new patients
- Collect and collate new intake metrics via spreadsheets to monitor flow of new intakes from various insurance and eap referral sources
- Develop relationships and engage with outside intake resources. Including insurance companies, EAP Companies, Healthcare agencies and hospitals, and other health providers and resources.
- Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail
- Support intake-related scheduling, provider communication, and billing, administration and support staff
- Provide information by answering questions and requests, of outside resources and internal providers and administrators
- Back up support to administrative support team
- Contribute to team effort to achieve related results as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- 1-2 years of intake and scheduling experience
- Knowledge of appropriate software including Google Workspace, Gmail, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s EHR and communications software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
