SUMMARY

As a member of our SAP team, you will lead in the design, build, and management of innovative SAP technology solutions. This role emphasizes technical leadership and architectural expertise, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, small-shop environment. You will work closely with your SAP Functional teammates, supporting core SAP ECC modules such as FI, CO, MM, PP, SD and LE, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy across all technical SAP initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :

Working closely with the SAP Principal Architect, business stakeholders, and external vendors, to ensure SAP solutions align with the strategic goals of the organization.
Collaborating with cross-functional IT teammates and SAP end-users, to understand business processes and identify areas for SAP-driven technical improvements.
Gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing technical requirements, exploring opportunities for automation and seamless integration between SAP and external applications.
Designing, developing, and testing technical solutions across the SAP ECC platform and a variety of interfaces including Fiori, SAC, and multiple external applications and MES systems.
Ensuring high-quality deliverables by adhering to best practices for performance, scalability, and compliance within SAP ECC, S / 4HANA, Fiori, API, and BTP platforms.
Cataloging, evaluating, and optimizing existing ABAP code for performance and maintainability, and determining its strengths, limitations, and feasibility of future use.
Governing the creation and maintenance of integration standards, templates, and best practices to ensure quality and consistency in delivery.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Phone system administration, end user support, desktop support.

Perform special projects and / or related duties as assigned.

Current computer industry technology, practices and trends, including system development and administration.

Principles and practices of complex computer system design.

Principles and practices of selection, development, testing, integration, cataloging, maintenance and support of application program components.

Installation, maintenance, customization and testing of large, centralized computer systems

Changes and advancements in cybersecurity

User procedures documentation techniques.

Capabilities of personal computers and the inter-connectivity to a central host-based system.

Principles, procedures and practices of business operations from a user community perspective.

Methodologies for project management including project tracking and project control.

Techniques for training users.

Ability to :

Have a continuous learning mindset to stay current with emerging trends, best practices, and industry standards.

Possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to plan and execute the technical workstream of SAP projects from inception to completion.

Mentor and provide technical leadership to team members, cultivating an innovative and collaborative professional culture.

Experience and Training Guidelines :

Proficiency in all forms of SAP ABAP programming and in-depth knowledge of SAP integration technologies (BADI, BAPI, RFC, IDOC, REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc.).

Strong experience designing and developing Fiori applications and OData services.

Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform offerings and Business Intelligence tools, such as SAC, Business Objects, and Hana Studio.

Hands-on experience designing API led architectures and API development.

Experience in SAP ECC and SAP S / 4 HANA, with a strong understanding of technical offerings available in both platforms and how they differ.

Well-versed in troubleshooting, debugging, and evaluating complex code and integrations.

Excellent knowledge of database design and transaction processing components.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience developing custom ABAP programs, function modules, classes, reports, enhancements, forms, and interfaces.

1-2 years in a Lead role or managing small projects.

Exposure to the latest Microsoft technologies is desired (SharePoint libraries and metadata, Teams approval workflow, Power Automate, etc.).

Practical experience in other programming languages is helpful, but not required (e.g. SQL, HTML, Java).

A.I. knowledge is also a plus.

The ability to work remotely is an option for the right candidate. Must be able to fully support our business during standard working hours within the US Pacific time zone and effectively communicate and coordinate solutions with our SAP users.

Must be eligible to work in the US and be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
