Job Overview:
Associated Fire Protection - Omaha, NE is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to take a leading role in ensuring the safety of buildings and their occupants by installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing critical fire alarm and special hazard systems.
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm and special hazard systems.
- Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately install systems.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Conduct inspections and maintain fire extinguishers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in fire alarm, security, low voltage, and/or systems maintenance a plus.
- NICET I Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Test & Inspect, or Special Hazards (or equivalent certification like ESA CAT L1) preferred.
- Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
- Ability to work safely in various environments, including construction sites.

- This position requires working in various locations, including warehouses, offices, and construction sites.
- The work environment may involve exposure to temperature extremes, noise, moving machinery, dust, chemicals, and potential electrical hazards.
