The IT Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's desktop computer environment. This position is responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, and other related devices. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of IT-related issues, including those involving computers, networks, IP phones, wireless devices, printers, scanners, and more. Recommend and implement effective solutions.
- Assist in resolving service desk incidents and document requests in a timely manner, ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Configure, test, install, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user workstations, hardware, and software to meet established desktop service levels.
- Participate in technology projects in accordance with corporate standards and best practices, contributing to successful project outcomes.
- Keep key stakeholders, both within and outside of the IT department, informed about project status, issues, barriers, and resolutions.
- Maintain critical support documentation within the enterprise-defined knowledge repository to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Assist with inventory and asset management, ensuring accurate records of IT assets.
- Help implement and monitor compliance with enterprise-defined security policies for hardware and software, safeguarding user systems and devices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Three to five years of relevant experience with demonstrated competence in IT support.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively in various situations.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and end-user issues promptly and satisfactorily.
- Solid skills in supporting desktop and laptop hardware.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and networking fundamentals.
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft operating systems and Office products.
- Knowledge of VoIP technology and general phone system operations is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Outstanding customer service skills and a commitment to providing an exceptional user experience.
