What are the responsibilities and job description for the Produce Sales Admininstrator position at Associated Grocers of New England?
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Inform customers of order information, such as unit prices, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays.
- Receive and respond to customer complaints; interaction with other departments is crucial in helping to resolve complaints.
- Receives, prioritizes, and processes customer orders; review orders for correct price, promotional issues, and customer comments.
- Process accounts payable, prepare and issue applicable credits after collecting and analyzing data. Reconcile orders to ensure accuracy.
- Check inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
- Attempt to sell additional product to prospective or current customers by telephone.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems such as the most cost effective way to handle reshipping product, suggesting substitutes, and explaining how a new item might help sales or profits.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Other duties as required to help meet business objectives.
- This position requires a schedule of Monday through Friday.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service; this includes customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Effective communication skills including the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations including but not limited to high call volume and customer complaint resolution.
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Basic math, addition, subtraction, multiplication skills (including percentages).
- Industry experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Primarily a sedentary work environment
- Occasional travel may be required
- Minimal exposure to 35 degree temperature
