Inventory Receiver

Looking for a full time overnight position with a thriving business? Associated Grocers is the company for you! We are currently seeking an Inventory Receiver to assist the receiving team by verifying quality of inbound freight received with the appropriate documents in a timely manner.

Overnight opportunity with open ended shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Receive inbound freight for correct item and quantity per the purchase order and bill of lading.
2. Ensure incentive loads are received in agreed upon timeframes regarding unload time and communicate overages, shortages and damages in a timely manner.
3. Inspect for damages and infestation; Report accordingly.
4. Check for correct temperature of trailer and product.
5. Annotate any discrepancies, such as overages, shortages and damages on the bill of lading and purchase order.
6. Ensure delivery driver signs the bill of lading and purchase order.
7. Check the arrangement of inbound freight for "tie" and height and complete the appropriate receiving form; Submit changes to Receiving Supervisors.
8. Refuse and put damages back on common carrier’s trailer.
9. Perform pallet quality check on all product received.
10. Verify the completeness of gate pass.
11. Comply with all safety and sanitation rules, regulations, and guidelines; make on the spot correction of unsafe acts and maintain an inspection ready distribution center.  Responsible for following all food safety procedures established by the site.
12. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
13. Monitor the third party personnel working in your area.
14. Delegate, coach and train employees on performing job functions efficiently.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
