What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Outside Sales Representative position at Associated Material Handling Industries, Inc?
Works with Sales to develop new Customer accounts. Maintain and grow current customer relationships by managing parts inventories through professional business practices. Serve as direct liaison between the customer and Associated regarding parts related issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Wage range for this position based on experience: $21.50 - $27.40 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with Sales to actively solicit new OTC accounts.
- Installs and maintains customer inventories by counting, documenting, and replenishing stock.
- Maintains customer relations and sells deeper into existing accounts by professionally and proactively handling parts related inquiries, understanding customer needs, and communicating Associated deliverables.
- Effectively communicate customer issues and concerns regarding accounts to Parts Supervisor.
- Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency of software products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Tablet Applications and Raymond Proprietary Software.
- Proficiency of mobile devices to include tablets, laptop.
- Skilled in time-management and able to work independently.
- Strong presentation skills as well as written and oral communications within all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
- Skilled in customer relations

- Ability to engage in occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to operate various forklifts and complete required SOTM training for the same.
- Ability to perform research and utilize multiple sources in order to expedite orders to fulfill customer (internal and external) needs.
- Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work, and attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply reasoning.
Education & Experience:
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED along with 1 – 3 years of general sales experience. Exceptional people skills and verbal communication is necessary. Possess basic computer familiarity and knowledge. Maintain a good driving record as required under Company's Safety Program.
