The role of the Phlebotomist at Associated Medical Professionals (AMP) is to perform venipunctures and finger sticks, process medical laboratory tests, and document results for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The Phlebotomist position requires a highly organized individual who can safely manage more than one task at a time and move efficiently throughout varied responsibilities.
The Phlebotomist must be able to work independently as well as interact as part of a team, consistently demonstrating respect and consideration to fellow staff members. Certain duties may vary based upon office location and department structure.
What We Expect from You
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience
- Phlebotomy certification
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
