Job Summary
Our Radiation Oncology department is looking for an compassionate, energetic and detailed oriented Nurse to join our team. This position would cover our Syracuse and New Hartford offices, upon business needs.
Our nurses do not work nights, weekends or holidays, as we believe in a work/life balance at AMP.
Responsibilities and Duties
The major goal of the professional is to provide quality nursing care to the patients treated in this department. Skills utilized in his/her job performance include assessment, communication, and teaching. The nurse ensures patient privacy and dignity.
The nurse is to provide a high level of administrative and clinical support to the AMP Radiation Oncologist and the department overall. Demonstrates good judgment, initiative, and proficiency in nursing skills. Shows professional interest through self-development, continuing education and involvement in professional organizations. Presents a positive attitude and a professional appearance.
Education / Licensure / Experience:
- Currently New York State licensed as a Licensed or Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous radiation oncology experience desired
- Team player with a patient focused attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
