What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterilization Technician position at Associated Oral & Implant Surgeons?
What you will do:
- Performing and participating in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Preparing and arranging instruments, surgical trays, and required material
- Maintaining personal protection per OSHA guidelines as it pertains to personal safety (i.e. protective clothing, eyewear and gloves)
- Proper use of sterilizers, sonic cleaners and other related equipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe workplace
- Chinning within a surgical setting
- Other duties as assigned
