The Logistics Coordinator role is at an Associated Packaging, Inc. branch office. This role is responsible for supporting the customer service team, warehouse operations and sales support of the branch.
- In conjunction with the warehouse this role will set delivery appointments for inbound PO’s and update calendar, verify and enter the inbound PO’s (receive), verify lot # or serial #, enter the put away locations, process outbound paperwork, and verify outbound shipments.
- Performs cycle count verification for accuracy and investigates any discrepancy.
- Will be forklift certified and the forklift trainer for the branch. Is the main contact for facilitating/scheduling MHE service. In addition, this role serves as the back-up for the warehouse personnel.
- Provide freight quotes to customer service team, schedule the outbound freight shipments, arrange for carrier pickup, and processes pick sheets and BOL’s.
- Coordinate with the freight carriers on claims to ensure they are processed in a timely manner and resolved to the satisfaction of the parties involved.
- Work with the Freight Specialist on freight damage claims.
- Process and pay branch invoices, this includes invoices for products, freight, and office supplies to the accounting department.
- Process open sales orders to generate customer billings.
- This role is designated Safety Coordinator and will conduct safety audits, inspections as needed, and maintain the product quarantine area.
- Manage third party warehouses transactions used by the branch, including inbound product, outbound shipment processing, monitoring of inventory, and outbound freight cost control.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Forklift certification
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with logistics, freight carriers, or warehouse
- Knowledge of LTL, TL, and small parcel operations
- Lean Six Sigma (or equivalent) root cause problem solving experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel) as well as ERP and Transportation Management systems.
- Experience with NetSuite and or FreightPop preferred
Competencies:
- Must possess the ability to work independently and manage priorities to achieve goals as well as able to work in a team environment

- Experience with NetSuite and/or FreightPop preferred.
