What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Coding Specialist position at Associated Pain Specialists?
Busy Interventional Pain Management Clinic is seeking a Certified Coder.
The coder will be responsible for reviewing and accurately coding all professional services including evaluation and management, diagnostic, urine drug screens, blood work and surgical procedures.
This position requires the ability to prioritize daily duties, multitask, communicate effectively, and make decisions necessary to complete all assigned tasks.
The position is full-time hybrid: Monday and Tuesday and remote Wednesday and Thursday.
What You'll Do
- Performs daily operations activities such as: accurately assigning medical codes in order to receive appropriate reimbursement
- Conducts thorough qualitative reviews of all medical documentation
- Monitor and maintain productivity and accuracy
- Meet all department productivity and accuracy goals
- Handles all other duties as assigned effectively and efficiently
- What We Seek:
- Certification in medical coding such as CPC, CCA, CCS, RHIA or RHIT required
- ICD-10 Certification required
- 1-2 years of coding experience with physician office coding preferred
- Proficient knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and coding principles
- Knowledge of applicable Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payor guidelines
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- excellent decision-making, problem-solving, analytical and quality management skills

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
