What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Associated Podiatrists, LLP?
Our Receptionist & Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patients, updating patient information, performing visit processing (check in) and check out functions, scanning, answering phones, filing and pitch in wherever needed. This position is a fast pace and can be demanding in nature.
Work Schedule:
20-24 hours per week depending on clinic schedule. We currently see patients every Wednesday and Thursday, the first and fifth Friday, and the second Tuesday of each month. Would consider full time employment if candidate is willing to work at our West Madison office on Mondays and the Tuesdays and Fridays when the clinic in Prairie du Sac is closed.

Our clinic is located in the Sauk Prairie Hospital at 250 26th Street in Prairie du Sac, WI. For those interested in a full time position, our West Madison clinic is near West Towne Mall, 6510 Grand Teton Plaza, Madison, WI 53719.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
Required : One year of experience working in an office environment
Preferred : Previous experience working in a medical office environment, interest in learning, and scheduling of patients
Licenses/Certifications Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to use computers for entering appointment information and patient billing.
- Knowledge of and ability to use computers including a variety of word processing and spreadsheet software programs (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel).
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
- Experience with answering phones, greeting clients and customers in person, and scheduling appointments.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Ability to think independently and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with a variety of personnel in a positive manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
