Instructor--Zumba and Zumba Gold
If you have experience working with groups of adults and have a passion for teaching aerobic dance, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has an amazing role for you as a cardio Zumba & Zumba Gold Instructor. This is a seasonal role at Lifelong Recreation. Lifelong Recreation oversees an array of arts, fitness, and social opportunities for People Ages 50 .
ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. In this role, the Zumba & Zumba Gold Instructor will be responsible for engaging participants and teaching Zumba dance/cardio fitness (radio hits, pop, club, hip hop, and Latin music) to groups of adults. The Zumba & Zumba Gold Instructor is responsible for maintaining a safe, fun, inclusive environment welcoming to all.

Zumba & Zumba Gold Instructor Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver dance classes as per the schedule. Instructors are expected to plan class curriculum.
- Complete required administrative reports, such as attendance logs and incident reports.
Relationship Building
- Maintain positive relationships with families, staff, and the general public.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Collaborate with recreation coordinator and other on-site staff to ensure safety of all participants.
- Collaborate with recreation coordinator to manage behavioral concerns.
- Communicate with parents, coworkers, and Seattle Parks and Recreation partners in a professional and courteous manner.
Zumba & Zumba Gold Instructor Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience teaching Zumba dance to a group of adults
- Foster a welcoming environment for diverse groups of adults
Pay:
- $26.50 - $28.50 hourly, depending upon experience; part-time position
