Job Title : Screw Machine Apprentice
Location : Columbus, NE
Pay : $16 - $20 / hour DOE
Shift : 1st Shift, 5 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM

As a Screw Machine Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced screw machine operators to learn the ins and outs of precision machining gaining hands-on experience while developing valuable skills in a growing industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist screw machine operators in performing a variety of machining operations, including turning, boring, drilling, threading, and facing bar, rod, or wire stock.
- Fully train and comply with the tasks outlined in the screw machine training manual.
- Learn the operation and maintenance of different screw machines to meet part specifications and production goals.
- Use measuring devices and microscopes to visually inspect parts for quality standards (up to 70% of the time).
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time (up to 90% of the shift).
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
