Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as Wheel loaders and Bobcats safely within the warehouse, terminal, and docks.
- Conduct pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance, including fluid checks and greasing systems.
- Transport and store commodities efficiently within the terminal and warehouse.
- Act as a signal person for other equipment and crane operators.
- Perform general labor tasks as needed to support daily operations.
- Complete and submit daily inspection reports to maintenance.
- Report all incidents following company protocols.
- Support and adhere to company safety initiatives and policies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of required competencies and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of heavy equipment experience in an industrial, warehousing, or maritime environment (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment safely and within confined spaces.
- Thorough knowledge of warehousing operations, maintenance programs, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow directions.
- Demonstrated safe work practices and leadership ability.
- Commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be physically fit to perform essential job functions and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card and pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
