Associated Testing Laboratories is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our growing team as a Construction Materials Testing Lab and/or Field Technician. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the safety and integrity of construction projects across the region.
Field Technician Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Test, collect, and transport concrete samples.
· Record inspection and data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, quantities inspected or graded, and locations.
· Prepare daily reports.
· Work collaboratively with field crews and other lab technicians.
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment in field settings.
· Other duties assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
Required:
· Must be able to work in various weather climates.
· Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to project sites in the area.
· Possess a high school diploma.
· Have a strong understanding of safety protocols and be able to work safely in field environments.
· Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to quality.
· Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
· Prior experience in the CMT field.
· Be familiar with ASTM standards and relevant quality control procedures.
· ACI Field Grade 1 Certification*
· HMAC SB101*
· HMAC SB102*

Lab Technician Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Conduct a range of tests on construction materials.
· Prepare samples for testing, ensuring accuracy in preparation, labeling, and documentation.
· Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
· Record, compile, and analyze test data accurately, and prepare reports summarizing findings.
· Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure testing requirements are met and projects progress smoothly.
· Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines in the laboratory, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Required:
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
· Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and complying with all safety regulations.
Preferred:
· Associate degree, current enrollment in higher education, or equivalent technical training in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
· Previous experience in construction materials testing or a similar laboratory environment.
· Knowledge of testing methods and standards.
· Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
