Job Summary:
We are seeking a Shop Helper to join our team. The Shop Helper will assist in various tasks within our shop, including warehouse duties, operating forklifts, fabricating materials, using power and hand tools, various machies and assembling components. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with warehouse duties, including receiving and organizing materials
- Operate forklifts to move materials and products
- Fabricate materials according to specifications
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble components
- Assist in the assembly of finished products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with shop operations and procedures
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools and various machines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
