What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Associated Veterinary Services?
Come join our team at Associated Veterinary Services! We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience in the veterinary field as a receptionist, technician or assistant. Candidates must be passionate about animals, have good communication skills and a positive attitude. Client communication is critical in our field so candidates should be able to answer phones, schedule appointments, respond to emails and relay information to clients. Our veterinary technicians and assistants are crucial to helping the veterinarian care for our patients. The understanding of canine and feline preventative care and diseases as well as a basic familiarity of common medications used are necessary qualifications of applicants. Technicians assist veterinarians in exam rooms and surgery by educating clients, drawing blood samples, placing iv catheters, monitoring surgical patients and assisting veterinarians with treatments.
