Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY :
To Assist the Sr. Sales Manager in the development of agreed upon strategic plans and to
attain maximum levels of support from AWG retail members and other involved decision
makers to achieve the goal of providing the best available product and service in the most
efficient and budget conscious manner. Put together and execute special sales events with
the groups to drive retail sales. Work with the stores to improve operating standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Analysis and planning of members meat operations.
- Initial and follow-up training of meat managers on standards.
- Coordinate a profitable merchandising program for each new and remodeled members
meat department as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
Any combination of education, training and experience providing the following knowledge,
skills, and abilities :
General meat background, to include meat cutting, merchandising, and P&L training. Good
oral communication skills, good written communication skills. Computer skills to include
Google Drive and email, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; read, understand, and communicate
manuals and written instructions; perform basic mathematical calculations. Analyze data and
develop action plans. Build sales plans and merchandising programs.
Experience, Education and Training
A retail background in meat, or the equivalent training.
Perform bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting, and reaching from a floor level to six feet in
height. Periods of sitting in an automobile in travel to members stores distances up to 300
miles.
Indoors; heating and cooling regulated; at time experience extreme heat and cold (freezers,
ovens), work with some possibly hazardous equipment (slicers, fryers, ovens); adequate
lighting and ventilation.
