Transportation Clerk-Part Time

SUMMARY

Implement and maintain an efficient and effective routing procedure.

Hourly rate $ per hour. Shift : part-time, Friday-Monday, : PM- : PM

Note : This is a safety sensitive positon

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Ability to perform the following duties along with all other duties as requested by the Shipping / Transportation Supervisor. It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.

• Put delivery paper work and invoices together for the drivers
• Organize interdivisional transfer paperwork
• Distribution of intercompany mail to retailers
• Gather and provide Driver packets

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : Degree or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Valid Driver’s License.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES : Computer literacy; office procedures; knowledge of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri; ability to read maps; working knowledge of the union contract; and grammar, standard English usage, punctuation, and spelling. Must be able to operate a car.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

This position's basic purpose is to use all available resources to assist the Transportation Department in continuous growth and financial success.
