The WISE Program at Associates for Human Services, Inc. is a center for adults experiencing health-related issues or whose ability to function independently is limited or requires supervision or assistance during the day when caregivers can’t be with them. We have been servicing the health care needs of seniors and adults for nearly 50 years. Associates for Human Services, Inc. is seeking energetic Per Diem CNA or Program Aides to uphold our high standards of care!
No weekends, nights or holidays! Shifts that would be available would be Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
Job Summary:
- Assist, and/or provide for activities of resident's daily living, including but not limited to: assisting with meals, feeding participants and toileting.
- Encourage socialization among participants.
- Assist with the activity program; conduct activities as directed by the Activity Coordinator or as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
EDUCATION: Either must be licensed by Department of Public Health as a Certified Nurse's Aide or up to 3 year's experience as a Program Aide.
Ability to speak, read and write English.
Given the diverse cultural backgrounds of the families we serve, bilingual or multilingual fluency preferred but not required.
Ability to follow written and oral directions.
Working Conditions: Heated/Air conditioned, well-lit facility with minimal barriers. Must be able to stand and/or walk for most of the shift. Lifting and carrying occasionally– must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must participate annually in 12 hours of in-service training to maintain certification.
