What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Nurse: LPN or RN - FT - FLOAT position at Associates in Women's Health?
Nurses provide physician and clinic support by receiving phone calls from patients including assessing the needs of the patient, coordinating the needed care, and/or approving scheduling appointments that are needed. The clinic nurse will collaborate within internal departments of scheduling, medical records, lab, and radiology. All services provided to the patient are in accordance to a physician’s orders and consistent with the patient’s care plan. All communications and services are documented in an accurate and timely manner via online charting.
Responsibilities
Receives phone calls from patients and/or return calls to patients as applicable
- Sends messages or other communication to patient’s portal as applicable
- Assesses the needs of the patients to coordinate needed care over the phone and scheduling visits as needed with Provider/Physician
- Managing patients’ pain and symptoms pursuant to physicians orders; obtaining changes in orders as need and updating the patient’s plan of care and medication list accordingly
- Providing guidance, support, and education to patients over the phone
- Documenting all services provided in the patients electronic medical record
- Ensures and maintains OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Ensuring all care provided is consistent with the patient’s Plan of as directed by Provider/Physician
- Others duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Licensed RN or LPN (state of KS)
- 1 year phone triage (preferred)
- Previous OB/GYN experience (preferred)
